Meat production/ Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Manager has the responsibility of ensuring complete adherence to USDA regualtions in our HACCP facility. A consistent high quality in production by enforcing good manufacturing practices (GMP's), meeting with partners to validate that documented procedures are being adhered too. He or she is also responsible for the safety and supervision of staff with regards to the food industry requirements.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Follow quality procedures for each process, adhering to the HACCP guidelines. Will conduct checks to assure that the requirements of the procedures are met. If a problem is identified, will complete an NCR and work with the partners to assure corrective action is taken.


Prepares on-going quality documentation by collecting, analyzing, and providing partners with feedback on improvements as needed.


Assures consistent quality throughout the organization by conducting analysis and identifying critical limits, monitoring procedures, inventories of commodities, in-process products, and finished goods.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in food science or related field.


Minimum of two years industry experience (dry-cured meats considered a plus).

Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize data to make decisions that affect the department(s) he or she is supervising.


Must have proven experience with USDA audits and dealing with inspectors on a daily basis.

Computer proficiency is essential (especially in Outlook, Word, and Excel)
